Throughout his career Eric Clapton's music and guitar playing has spanned several genres, beginning with his early Blues years as guitarist for the Yardbirds and John Mayall to his powerful guitar style with hard rock pioneers Cream. His band Derek and the Dominos recorded the FM radio classic Layla in 1970 and that decade found him regularly in the charts with songs like I Shot the Sheriff, After Midnight and Lay Down Sally. He also recorded great ballads like Wonderful Tonight and Tears in Heaven but always returned to his lifelong love of American blues music. This show features guitarists Mike Hebert and Ed Delucia with Mike Yarema on vocals.
