Barnaby & the Butcher's genre of music includes Roots-rock, Southwest Americana, and Whiskey-Blues. With a long history of playing music together, this project marries the powerfully skilled complexity of Damon’s guitar work, with the soothing warmth and welcome of Joshua’s vocals. As in his other projects, Joshua’s lyrics are heartfelt and emotive, making a little bit of heartache feel like a great way to spend the summer evening. Damon’s composition and hooks help these songs sink right into your soul. Backed by the incredible Doug "The Hurricane" Floyd on bass and dazzling John “The Monkey" McIntyre on drums, what you will experience listening to these musicians play is as if you have been invited over for a spot of whiskey and a seat at the bar. This is serious music from not-so-serious musicians.
